About
Open Art Competition 2020
In light of current unprecedented times Creates Gallery has launched The Open Art Competition to support artists and makers across the UK. The winner of this competition will be awarded a cash prize to support them financially during this difficult time for the art industry, and they will also feature in a special edition of Creates Magazine worth over £500. In addition to this, their work will be added to our online art exhibition where their work will be for sale (please see our online gallery to see how this works). Works will be marketed to the public via our website, social media, mailing list (5,000+) and loyal clients along with other entries from this award. Artists will be judged by the public where participants will judge them on their medium of work, representation of their theme throughout their work and how they present themselves as an artist. The winner will need to win the most online votes and this will be announced at the end of the competition.
This award is open to artists and makers of all ages and career paths, whether professional, amateur, student or graduate, and based in the United Kingdom.
Works to be considered for this award covers; Fine Art, Sculpture, Photography, Ceramics, Illustration, Textiles, Glass, Jewellery, Digital Media, and works that contain Mixed Media.
You can apply from Wednesday 29th April 2020 and entries will close on Sunday 31st May 2020.
