Anita Louise Davies

Anita lives on the edge of the Forest of Dean,England. Art and creativity have always been present in her life, albeit taking second place to her career in the Health and Social Services. However, retirement provided the opportunity of attending the University of Gloucestershire to study Fine Art, gaining a BA Honours Degree in 2012. Her work has

been shown in various exhibitions including the2015 Open Summer Exhibition at the West of England Art Academy and at The Canwood Galleryin Herefordshire during the summer of 2018. She is passionate about the connections art engenders with others, enjoys a love of nature, poetry and music.

Currently she uses acrylic paint on board or paper. Colour continues to be her abiding interest, andexplorations in finding light and space from differentpalettes underpins the imagery. A reflective dialogue during the later stages of the work, which Anita calls her philosophical meanderings, brings insights into new possibilities, new parameters and an energising nourishment.
