Paul Hatton

Born in London in 1963, Paul Mark Hatton has made jewellery all his life, but his first major recognition came in Los Angeles, where he lived for 8 years. Having won all the major prizes offered by the Roman Ward Jewellery Institute in California, he then made jewellery and tableware for Jack Nicholson, Queen Latifa, Sugar Ray Leonard and Liv Tyler, as well as the jewellery for the Highlander TV series in Hollywood. In the late 1990s, he returned to his native East End of London and was invited to exhibit in the major exhibitions ‘Cutlery Art’ (1999)and ‘Love Story’ (2003) in Goldsmith’s Hall, London. His work has been widely featured in the national press including ELLE magazine, In Style and ES Magazine. He was recently commissioned to make the RIBA Stirling Prize for Architecture by the Royal Institute of British Architects. 

Paul now works from his studio in Monmouthshire, carrying out private commissions and supplying carefully selected jewellers in the UK. All pieces featured for sale here are designed and hand made by Paul Hatton. With all his tableware, and the majority of his jewellery, Paul Hatton prefers never to make the same piece twice, so no two people have the same thing. However, if a piece you like has been sold; or you would like to commission a work of jewellery, the same design can be commissioned again using either different precious metals; or different precious or semi-precious stones, to preserve the uniqueness of each piece.
